History
The wooden Uniate Spaso-Preobrazhensky church in Porplishche was built in 1627 [3] at the expense of Francis and Anna Zebrzydowski [4] . It was rebuilt in 1794 by the local priest Zhdanovich and parishioners, acquiring elements of classicism . In 1883, the bell tower was added.
During the years of church persecution, the temple did not close [4] . In 1988, a major overhaul of the church building was carried out [3] .
By the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated May 14, 2007 No. 578, the church was included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values of the Republic of Belarus as a historical and cultural value of republican significance (category 2) [2] .
When repairing the Transfiguration Church in 2009-2011, the tower and the dome of the church were covered with siding , and the interior was painted with oil paint, which caused a scandal and an appeal to the prosecutor’s office from the voluntary society for the protection of monuments [5] .

Cross-domed church with a plan in the form of a Latin cross . All log cabins are of equal height and are covered by mutually perpendicular gable roofs with triangular gables at the ends [4] . At the center of the cross is a massive octagonal light drum , completed by a faceted dome with a head. A distinctive feature of the temple was the slope of the main dome, which is visible to the naked eye [6] . The walls are horizontally sheathed. The windows are rectangular. On both sides of the five-sided altar log cabin there are small rectangular sacristy planes [3] .
In 1883, a three-tier bell tower with a babin in the lower tier, covered with a low four-pitched tent, was added to the main facade [3] .
Inside, the drum of the dome rests on arches with sails. Fragments of the carved iconostasis of the 17th century survived from the old church [4] . The choirs are located in the main volume. The interior preserved fragments of a carved wooden altar of the XVII century, which were used in the design of the iconostasis and icon cases that have survived to this day. The carving of the iconostasis is made in the low relief technique: variations of plant shoots with bouquets of flowers and fruits, heads of angels, female figures. The iconostasis contains valuable icons of the 18th-19th centuries [4] . The planes of panels , columns and frames of icon cases are threaded [3] .
