Decisive Battles of World War II: Korsun Pocket is a military turn-based strategy computer game from the Decisive Battles of World War II series. It was developed by Strategic Studies Group and released by Matrix Games on August 25, 2003 . The plot of the game tells the story of the Korsun-Shevchenkovsky operation .

Korsun Pocket is the second in the Decisive Battles of World War II series, the first part of which Ardennes Offensive came out six years earlier. The game received very good press reviews.
Reviews
Computer Gaming World magazine reviewer Bruce Gerick rated the game 5 out of 5 and noted that Korsun Pocket was able to incorporate the very best of the historical wargame genre. In conclusion of his rezesion, he wrote that this game is the best hexagonal wargame of all time. The game received the award "editorial choice" [1] . William R. Trotter from PC Gamer magazine also rated the game highly - 93% and called it "Best Wargame for PC." Trotter also said that “the game, although it requires you to be fully committed, in return you get a unique, rich and exciting experience” [2] . William Ebner from the GameSpy gaming website gave the game five out of five stars, praised game design, artificial intelligence, and a user manual, and named Korsun Pocket one of the best wargames ever created [3] . Gamespot site reviewer Jeff Lakeie rated the game at 8.6 out of 10 and called it “the undeniably best two-dimensional wargame at the moment” [4] .
