Geography
The village is located in the eastern part of the Tambov region, in the forest-steppe zone, within the Oka-Don plain , near the source of the Inokovka River, at a distance of about 21 kilometers (in a straight line) west of the city of Kirsanov , the administrative center of the region. The absolute height is 203 meters above sea level [2] .

History
According to 1926, there were 362 households and 1,598 people (742 men and 856 women). Administratively, the village was part of the Inokovo volost of the Kirsanovsky district of the Tambov province [4] .
