Biography

Born on November 6, 1966 in Tskhinvali. In 1983, he graduated from Tskhinvali Secondary School No. 9 and entered the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the YuOGPI. In 1984-1986 served the Soviet Army, after being transferred to the reserve, continued his studies at the Pedagogical Institute and graduated from it in 1990. In the same year he became President of the Farn Youth Center.

He worked as a turner at the Tskhinvali plant "Electrovibromashina". In 1991, he was elected first secretary of the South Ossetian regional committee of the Komsomol and a member of the Central Committee of the Komsomol.

Georgian-Ossetian conflict

From the first days of Georgian aggression, he was one of the leaders of self-defense detachments and contributed to the organization of powerful resistance to the enemy.

In 1992, he was a participant in the signing of the Sochi Agreements on the settlement of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict. He participated in meetings of the Joint Control Commission, where often his opinion became decisive. Starting from Dagomys, he was an indispensable participant in the negotiation process.

He fought in Abkhazia, where he was awarded the highest award - the Order of Leon.

In 1993, under his leadership, the Ministry of Defense of South Ossetia was created. At the same time, since 1994, Deputy Chairman of the Government of South Ossetia.

From 1994 to 1998, a member of the Joint Control Commission for the settlement of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict.

Doom

On May 31, 1998, opposite the Vladikavkaz "Alan" market, the VAZ-2107 car caught up with Hubulov's Mercedes and two unknown persons (young men in camouflage uniforms) opened fire on him with automatic weapons. When the Mercedes stopped, the killers gave one more turn, drove about a kilometer and in the courtyard of one of the Vladikavkaz schools blew up their car, moved to another and disappeared. According to the Prosecutor's Office of North Ossetia, the crime was committed at a high professional level.
