Speckled boar fish [1] ( lat. Paristiopterus ) is a genus of ray-finned fish from the family of boars (Pentacerotidae).

Description
The body is laterally compressed, moderately high, covered with ctenoid scales . The head is covered with a shell of rough furrowed bones. The teeth on the jaws are arranged in strips, absent on the palate. The lateral line curves up in the middle of the body. The pectoral fins are long with longer upper rays. Caudal fin with a small notch [2] [3] [4] . Body length up to 100 cm, live in the eastern Indian [5] and in the south-west of the Pacific Ocean [6] .
