The Minsk Upland (according to the name of the capital of Belarus - the city of Minsk ; Belorussian. Minskay ышvyshsha ) is an elevation located between the Neman River (the upper reaches) and Lake Lukoml , in the central part of the Minsk Region of Belarus .

Relief
The Minsk Upland is the highest part in the south-west of the Belorussian Ridge . Altitude 200-300 m, maximum 345 m ( Mount Dzerzhinskaya - the highest point of Belarus). On the Minsk Upland is Lysaya Gora - the second highest in Belarus [1] .
Geology
It is a system of arched elongated strongly dissected endoriginal ridges, plateau-like sections and numerous valleys. At the base of the hill lies rocks of the Devonian , Cretaceous and Paleogene . It occupies the northwestern and central parts of the Minsk region. It borders on the Stolbtsovskaya plain in the southwest, the Vileika lowland in the northwest, the Krivichskaya plain in the north, Verkhneberezinsky in the northeast, Central Berezinsky in the southeast and Pukhovichi in the south.
Flora and Fauna
On the tops of the hills and along the sandy lowlands there are pine and spruce-pine forests with an admixture of birch; slopes are plowed up.
