Geography

The village is located in the eastern part of the Bryansk region, in the zone of coniferous-deciduous forests ^[2] , within the Snezhetsko-Rivne interfluve, at a distance of about 18 kilometers (in a straight line) to the south-west of the city of Karachev , the administrative center of the region. The absolute height is 195 meters above sea level ^[3] .

The climate is temperate continental with warm summers and moderately frosty winters. Annual precipitation is 500-600 mm. The average temperature in January is −8.6 °, in July - + 18.6 ° ^[4] .
