Banner bracket

The banner bracket is a rectangular plate with engraved text, bent into a tube that spans the flagpole (or standard ) below the banner.

In the Russian Empire, a bronze gilded plate with a width of 6.7 centimeters was installed on June 25, 1838 on the banners and standards of all existing parts . The following inscriptions were engraved on the bracket: on the top line - the monogram ( monogram ) of the Sovereign - the founder of the part, the year of foundation and the original name of the part, in the middle - the monogram of the Sovereign (or sovereigns), who granted the distinction (if the Banner of St. George or for distinction) and the inscription of distinction. In the bottom line was the monogram of the Sovereign, who granted the banner, the year of the award and the name of the unit at that moment.

In 1884, the Highest commanded the V. regiment, on brackets of banners, to have the monogram of Peter the Great and the inscription: "1700, infantry of Ivan Kulom V. and von Verdun Lutsk regiments." On the bracket of the banner of the 2nd battalion, in addition, the inscription: "1814, the 45th Jaeger Regiment, for the difference in the war against the French of 1812, 1813 and 1814."
