The general elections in India in 2019 were held in seven stages from April 11 to May 19, 2019. The vote count took place on May 23, and on the same day the results were announced. [1] [2] [3] [4] About 900 million Indian citizens were eligible to vote at one of seven stages, depending on the region. In the 2019 elections, the turnout was more than 67 percent - the highest rate in the history of the general elections in India [5] , the highest level of women's participation in elections in India was achieved in these elections.

Elections were held for a month. There were 7 days to vote. In some constituencies, elections were held in 2 or 3 phases.
