Biography

Born in Bayanzurkh (now the region of Ulan Bator a). Actively participated in the activities of the youth union. In 1924 he graduated from the Communist University of the Workers of the East in Moscow. In the 1930s, he worked in the government of the republic, in 1934 he became the head of the department of artistic counseling of the Ministry of Education, since 1936 - deputy minister.

Repressed. He was executed during the purge carried out by the leader of the Communists Khorlogiyin Choibalsan in the late 1930s. Rehabilitated posthumously.

Creativity

In 1929, a collection of his propaganda plays, The Living Newspaper, was published; in 1935, a historical and revolutionary play The Son of Mongolia (Mongol Huu, 1934). In the same year he wrote and directed the anti-feudal lyrical musical drama “Princess Dolgor and the commoner Damdin” (“Khatan Dolgor, Harz Damdin”). The historical and revolutionary play “The Gobi Girl of Gundegmaa” (“Goviin Huuchen Gundegmaa”, 1936) and the play “Exactly 18” (“Yag 18”, 1936) are directed against the Llamas and Lamaist ideology.

The author of the first works on the history of the Mongolian theater.
