It is a tribal village for the following Ingush teips - Yevloyevs, Meirievs, Ozdoevs and Tsoroyevs. As of December 1926, Khai was part of the Galashki district [1] of the Ingush Autonomous Region. The Ingush lived in the village (according to the 1926 census ) [2] .
The village was abandoned by residents during the deportation of 1944. After the Ingush returned to the Caucasus, the village was not populated. Mostly the land of the village is used for beekeeping.
