Geography
The village is located in the south-eastern part of the Belgorod region, in the forest-steppe zone [2] , within the south-western part of the Central Russian Upland , east of the Verkhny Moses River , at a distance of about 7 kilometers (in a straight line) to the north-north-east (NNE ) from the city of Valuyki , the administrative center of the district. The absolute height is 185 meters above sea level [3] .
The climate is characterized as temperate continental. The average January temperature is −7.4 ° C, the average July temperature is +20.3 ° C. The annual rainfall is about 500 mm. The average annual wind direction is southwest [2] .
