Biography

Born August 8, 1771 in Mannheim; there he received school education [1] .

In 1789-1791 he studied cameralistics , mathematics, mineralogy and mining in Heidelberg and the Hamburg Academy of Commerce , in 1792-1794 - forestry in the Rhine-Palatinate (near Kling) and in Württemberg (under ) [1] [2] . His first publication, Die Stallfütterung, was awarded the first prize of the Patriotic Society in Nuremberg .
