The presidential election in Guatemala was held on February 6-8, 1931 . Jorge Ubiko was elected in non-alternative elections [1] , when the rest of the Liberal Party did not object to his candidacy, and the Conservative Party was too disorganized and discredited after the presidency of Lazaro Chacon Gonzalez to nominate his candidate [2] . The Ubiko of the Progressive Liberal Party formed an alliance of the two wings of the Liberal Party and also won parliamentary elections on a non-antentive basis.
