Akbaital ( taj. Obaytal ), in the upper reaches of South Akbaytal ( taj. Obaytali Ҷanubӣ ) - a river in Tajikistan , in the eastern Pamirs , the right tributary of the Murghab river.

Length - 81 km. The catchment area is 1600 km². The number of rivers with a length of less than 10 km located in the Akbaital basin is 438, their total length is 615 km [1] .
The food of the glacial - snow river. In the lower reaches - a drying river (dry riverbed). It originates at the Akbaital pass, to the north of which are the headwaters of the Northern Akbaital river, between the Sarykol ridge and the Muzkol ridge. It flows through the territory of the Murghab region of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region . It flows into Murghab east of the village of Murghab near the village of Konakurgan , east of the Pshart Range . Throughout the valley passes the Pamir tract .
Left tributaries: Tugurekbashi, Kanaytart, Chakyryul, Porjilga.
Right tributaries: Sasyksu, Gurumdy, Beleuli , Mikur-Yargichak, Zoryarchichak, Chechekty, East Pshart .
