Champion of Paraguay 1938 (the tournament was held for the first time), 1939 and 1942.

He headed the Paraguayan national team at the 1939 Chess Olympiad in Buenos Aires . He played 15 games in this competition , of which he won 3 (two from the Peruvian A. Dulanto , as well as from the representative of Canada J. Morrison ) and 1 ended in a draw (with K. Opochensky ).
