Biography

 
Writers - delegates to the First Congress of Soviet Writers. 1934, Moscow. Pavel Sakvarelidze - third row fifth from the left

Of the nobles. He studied at the Kutaisi classical gymnasium. For participation in the revolutionary movement was repeatedly arrested. In 1916 he was sentenced to 4 years hard labor [1] . In 1921 he returned to Tiflis from Siberia.

Member of the CPSU (b) since 1930. Participant of the first congress of Soviet writers (1934). Engaged in editorial activities.

September 28, 1937 was arrested on charges of membership in an anti-Soviet terrorist organization and personal implementation of subversive work. He pleaded guilty. Shot on November 12, 1937.
