"Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends" ( Eng. Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends ) is an American animated series developed by Marvel Productions and representing a crossover with the animated series " Spider-Man " 1981. The central characters were the well-known characters of Marvel Comics - Spider-Man and Ice-Man , as well as the heroine specially created for the animated series, the Fiery Star [1] . Being a trio called Spider Friends, they fought various villains in the Marvel universe.

The series was an NBC attempt to repeat the success enjoyed by the ABC franchise called Super Friends . Initially, the creators planned to make Human Torch a permanent member of the team, but due to legal problems with using a character (which were previously inherent in another Marvel animated series - “ Fantastic Four of 1978”), they were forced to develop a new character with similar abilities [2] . Subsequently, due to the character's popularity in the fan community, the Fiery Star was adapted into comics.
Content
Story
Peter Parker (Spider-Man), Bobby Drake (Ice-Man) and Angelica Jones (Fire Star) are students at State University. After they manage to defeat the Beetle and return the “power booster” that it stole from Tony Stark ( Iron Man ), the trio decides to form a permanent team known as “Spider Friends”. They live in Aunt Peter's house with Miss Lyon, a Lhasa Apso dog. Together, superheroes battle various supervillains.
Some of the stories involved other Marvel Comics characters such as Captain America , Thor , Iron Man, and X-Men .

Criticism
In 2008, IGN placed the animated series "Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends" at 59th place in the "Top 100 Animated Series" [4] .
