The village is located in the southwestern part of the Lipetsk region, in the forest-steppe zone, within the Central Russian Upland , on the left bank of the Kholopchik stream (a tributary of the Olym river), at a distance of about 3 kilometers (in a straight line) to the southwest of the village of Terbuny , the administrative center of the region . The absolute height is 183 meters above sea ​​level [2] . The climate is temperate continental with warm summers and moderately frosty winters. Annual precipitation is 450-500 mm.
