Conad ( Italian Consorzio Nazionale Dettaglianti ) is a retail brand created on May 13, 1962 in Bologna and managing one of the largest supermarket chains in Italy [1] [2] ; is a cooperative system of entrepreneurs engaged in the wholesale and retail sales of goods. It has three levels of organization: member-entrepreneurs (owners of retail outlets), cooperatives (large trade and distribution centers) and a national consortium (a body focused on market analysis and the provision of services to member companies).
