Biography
Born in Moscow. He spent his childhood with his mother, Elena Ivanovna (1905-1986), in the area of the E. Vakhtangov Theater.
Father Anatoly Ivanovich Shalevich (1901-1984) - senior lieutenant of state security (03/23/1936), assistant to the chief of the Polotsk okrugdepartment of the NKVD of the Belorussian SSR , then Mozyr okrugdel of the NKVD of the Belorussian SSR (09/26/1936 - 05/03/1937) [2] . Pole He was arrested on September 22, 1937 as an assistant to the chief of the 11th department of the State Security Directorate of the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs in the Arkhangelsk Region , and was sentenced on June 4, 1938 to 5 years in prison [3] . His mother, although she loved Anatoly Shalevich, left him at the eighth month of pregnancy because of jealousy from Minsk to Moscow to her aunt. She raised her son alone. Vyacheslav considered his father dead in the Finnish War . He learned the truth only at 38, when on a tour in Biysk in 1972 he met a man who introduced himself as Anatoly Shalevich.
In 1958 he graduated from the B.V.Schukin Theater School . After graduation, he was accepted into the troupe of the Theater named after E. Vakhtangov . In 1979 he graduated from the Higher Directing Courses at GITIS . In the same year he joined the Communist Party .
From 1998 to 2012, he headed the Ruben Simonov Moscow Drama Theater , while playing roles in the Vakhtangov Theater.
Shalevich - one of the few actors who played in two films with the same name, but not remakes - "Red Square".
Death
On December 1, during the play “Marina,” in which the actor played the role of Galileo Galilei, he felt unwell. Ambulance doctors noted high blood pressure, but he refused hospitalization. On December 3, it became known that Vyacheslav Shalevich was in intensive care [4] with a convulsive syndrome , and then he fell into a coma [5] .
The actor, without regaining consciousness, passed away at the Botkin State Design Bureau in Moscow on December 21, 2016, at the 83rd year of his life [6] [7] [8] .
Farewell to Shalevich took place on December 24 at the Vakhtangov Theater. On the same day, the actor was buried in the Vagankovsky cemetery (plot 43) [9] .
Personal life
In the first year of the Schukin School, Vyacheslav Shalevich married his former classmate Elena Kanevskaya, but their marriage was reckless, lasted less than a month, and the couple divorced.
In the late 1950s, Vyacheslav Shalevich married classmate at the Shchukinsky school Natalya Upenik. In 1959, the couple gave birth to a son, Vladimir (died in February 1997), they lived together for about three years, and this marriage also broke up. The reason for the break was a love for actress Valentina Titova , actress BDT them. Gorky in Leningrad. The son of Vladimir had a daughter - Shalevich Elena Vladimirovna.
The third wife of Vyacheslav Shalevich was Galina (died in November 1997), a fashion designer. In this marriage, the couple lived for 31 years, they had a son - Ivan.
The fourth wife (since 1998) is Tatyana Viktorovna Vinogradova (she has children from her previous marriage: Oleg’s son and daughter Elizabeth), a gynecologist, and subsequently went to work in the theater. In 2001, a daughter was born - Anna.
