In 1926 she became the winner of the beauty contest of the historical region of Franche-Comté .

Before her, the winners of the beauty contest wore the title of “France’s most beautiful woman”, so Robert Couuse became the first to be officially called Miss France.

She starred in several films (Madame Récamier (1928), Le Collier (1928)). After unsuccessful attempts to start a career in cinema, she left the stage and returned to her previous work. In May 1932 she opened a boutique on the Champs Elysees in Paris.
