Biography
According to the memoirs of G. B. Gutner, his great-grandfather Iosif Yudelevich Gutner was a religious Jew-imnagdim [4] .
In 1983 he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Petrochemical and Gas Industry in the Department of Applied Mathematics with a degree in engineering and mathematics.
He studied at the Graduate School of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where in 1992, under the supervision of Ph.D. A. Ogurtsov, he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Philosophy on the topic "Ontology of mathematical discourse" (specialty 09.00.08 - philosophy of science and technology) [ 5] . In 2008, he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy on the topic “The problem of risk and responsibility of the subject of scientific communication” (specialty 09.00.08 - philosophy of science and technology). Scientific consultant - A. P. Ogurtsov. The official opponents are Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences IT T. Kasavin , Doctor of Philosophy, Professor V. N. Porus, and Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor A. I. Krichevets . The leading organization is the Department of Philosophy of Natural Faculties of Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov [6] .
For almost 20 years, he worked as a research associate at the Institute of Philosophy, Russian Academy of Sciences, and was a leading researcher at the sector of the philosophical problems of social and human sciences.
At the same time he taught at the Holy Filaret Orthodox Christian Institute, where for many years he headed the department of philosophy and humanities and was one of the leading teachers [3] [7] .
He taught mathematics at the Culturological Lyceum, read ethics and logic courses at the Theological College.
Attended seminars of the Bibler circle.
Scientific Activities
The author of 4 monographs and about 150 scientific articles [8] , was published in the journals “ Problems of Philosophy ”, “ State, Religion, Church in Russia and Abroad ”, “ Personality. Culture Society ”,“ Moscow University Bulletin ”,“ The Man ”,“ Ethical Thought ”,“ The Almanac of the St. Philaret Orthodox Christian Institute ”. Author of textbooks "The Philosophy of Language" (Moscow, URAO, 2001) and "Lectures on the history of philosophy" (Moscow: St. Philaret Orthodox Christian Institute, 2013). The last book is “The Beginning and Motivation of Scientific Knowledge: A Reasoning About Surprise” (M., 2018) [9] .
Memory
On March 16, 2018, a round table dedicated to the memory of G. B. Gutner was held at the St. Philaret Institute [7] . The collection “Totalitarianism: Causes, Consequences, Opportunities for Overcoming” [8] is dedicated to his memory.
