Sony Alpha DSLR-A700 is a semi-professional digital SLR camera of the Alpha (α) series from Sony , announced on September 6, 2007. It is aimed at advanced amateur photographers. The A700 does not have a direct predecessor in the Sony lineup, but it can be seen as the successor to the Konica Minolta Dynax 7D .

The camera was discontinued in 2009. In February 2010, the company introduced a mock model designed to become the successor to the A700. [1] The successor to the A700 was the Sony SLT-A77 .
