Eric Kripke is an American producer , television director and screenwriter . Known as the creator of the mystical television series Supernatural .

Eric Kripke was born April 24, 1974 in the city of Toledo , Ohio . In 1996, he graduated from the School of Film and Television at the University of Southern California [2] .
In 1997, Kripke acted as the scriptwriter and director of two short comedies : “ The Battle of the Sexes ” and “Sincerely Devoted”. For the film “Sincerely Devoted,” Kripke was nominated for the Short Film Award in 1997, and in 1998 this film won the Audience Award for Best Short Film.
In 2003, Kripke wrote the script for the television series The WB 's Tarzan , which was taken off the air after eight episodes. Kripke's next work was the 2005 horror film Boogeyman , for which he wrote the script.
Kripke created the television series Supernatural , which tells of two brothers hunting evil spirits. The show began on The WB (later on The CW) in 2005. For five seasons, Kripke was a show runner and one of the authors of the script, starting from the sixth season, his duties were transferred to Sere Gamble [3] .
Kripke’s new project was the post-apocalyptic television series Revolution , which began broadcast on NBC in 2012 [4] . The series lasted on air for two seasons, after which it was closed by the channel’s management due to low ratings [5] .
In 2016, Eric introduced the new series “ Out of Time ” for NBC. The series was closed after the first season, but then extended for the second season at the request of fans. In 2018, the series was closed again, however, it was decided to order a two-hour film, which will be aired on December 20 and finally complete the story
