History

Kivertsovsky timber industry enterprise was established in 1939.

During the Great Patriotic War from July 1941 to February 1944, the Kivertsy district was occupied by German troops . During the occupation, Soviet partisans acted in the forest [1] .

In 1944, simultaneously with the restoration of the district center, the restoration of the sawmill and timber industry enterprise began [1] .

In the period from 1959 to 1965, the gross output of the timber industry enterprise more than doubled [1] .

In 1967, the timber industry enterprise procured and sent to customers 150 thousand cubic meters of high-quality drill timber. In addition, in 1967, a plant for the production of refined turpentine and flotation oil was commissioned here. On May 5, 1967 for the achievements in the development of forestry, the Kivertsovsky Forestry Plant was awarded the Order of Lenin by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR [1] .

In the late 1960s, the leshoz carried out the drainage of swamps, reclaimed land, planted from 700 to 900 hectares of forest plantations annually and was one of the leading enterprises (by the beginning of 1970, the enterprise was awarded for scientific developments, rationalization proposals and new technologies) diplomas of the 1st and 2nd degree and two bronze medals of the Exhibition of Economic Achievements of the USSR ) [1] .

In general, in Soviet times, the leshoz was one of the largest enterprises in the city [1] [2] [3] and Kivertsy district.

After the independence of Ukraine, the leshoz was transferred to the Ministry of Forestry of Ukraine [4] .

In March 1995, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine included the leshoz in the list of enterprises and organizations whose privatization is prohibited due to their national significance [4] .
