Biography
Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations ( MGIMO ) of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1985). He speaks English , Persian and French . Candidate of Historical Sciences (1988). In diplomatic service since 1988.
In 1988-1992, he was an employee of the USSR Embassy (since 1991 - Russia) in Afghanistan .
In 1993-1994 - third secretary, second secretary of the Third Department of Asia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
1994–1995: Second Secretary of the Secretariat of the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Russia.
In 1995-1999 - First Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Namibia .
In 1999–2003, he was Advisor, Head of the Division of the First Department of the CIS Countries, MFA of Russia.
In 2003–2006 - Senior Counselor, Counselor-Envoy of the Russian Embassy in Portugal .
In 2006–2011, he was Deputy Director of the Fourth Department of CIS Countries at the Russian Foreign Ministry.
In 2011—2019 - Director of the Fourth Department of the CIS Countries, MFA of Russia.
From April 3, 2019 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Australia [1] .
