Al-Maqwa [1] ( Arabic: المقوع ) is a district ( منطقة ) in southern Kuwait , in the northern part of Ahmadi Governorate, 25 kilometers south of the capital of Kuwait and 10 kilometers northwest of El Ahmadi . On the territory of the district there is a part of the Big Burgan field. The area is crossed by the eponymous highway 51. Named after the eponymous district in Kuwait City.
