Born September 15, 1930 in the village of Noraduz in the Gavar district of the Armenian SSR. From the age of 8 he grew up without a father.
After graduating from the Hydrotechnical Faculty of the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute (1952) he was sent to Central Asia, where he trained specialists.
In 1955-1958 studied at the postgraduate school of VNIIGiM, studied the theory of the mechanized method of surface irrigation, and improved the DDA-100M sprinkler machines. In 1962 he defended his thesis: “Questions of the mechanized surface irrigation technique for furrows and inlets”.
Since 1963, he worked at the All-Russian Research Institute of Vegetable Production (VNIIO) in positions ranging from a junior research assistant to the head of a laboratory (until 2011) and chief research assistant.
Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (1997), the theme of the dissertation: "The technological basis for improving the efficiency of irrigation and hydrotreating vegetable and melons in various soil and climatic zones of Russia."
He developed a methodology for determining the water regime of vegetable and melons in different irrigation methods.
He published 165 scientific papers, received 11 copyright certificates and patents for the invention. Works:
