Life
Georg Wilhelm served as captain of the 42nd Regiment in Austria [4] . On June 8, 1910, King George V of Great Britain made him an honorary knight of the Royal Victorian Order [5] . The prince died in a car accident on May 20, 1912 at the age of 31 in Nakkel, Brandenburg, Germany [3] . He was driving to the funeral of his uncle, King of Denmark Frederick VIII , when the car suddenly skidded on a newly laid road surface [6] . At the time of his death, George Wilhelm was not married and had no children.
