International Career
Bernard played for the youth team of Italy, as well as for the junior team of this country. In total, he played 19 matches for junior and youth teams.
For the national team of Italy, he made his debut at the World Cup in 2012, but did not play a single game. After 2012, he is annually called up to the national team for various tournaments.
Personal life
Andreas has two brothers. Manfred, who was also a hockey player and played as a goalkeeper, and Anton, who plays in his homeland at the Bolzano club as a striker and is occasionally called up to the national team.
