Kuzkokova, Nina Nikolaevna

Nina Nikolaevna Kuzkokova (1919-1999) - Soviet geologist , petrograph , scientific secretary of the Presidium of the Komi Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences , Honored Worker of Science and Culture of the Komi ASSR (1964) [1] .

Biography

She was born on November 23, 1919 in the city of Ust-Sysolsk (modern Syktyvkar ) [2] .

In 1947 she graduated from the Novocherkassk Industrial Institute (with a break of 1942-1946).

In 1942-1943 she worked as a foreman of the Kazhym Geological Prospecting Party in the Northern Geological Administration .

In 1943-1947 she headed the department of funds of the Northern Geological Administration.

In 1947-1951 she worked as a geologist in the Geological Sector of the Research Base of the USSR Academy of Sciences in the Komi ASSR .

In 1951-1971 she was the scientific secretary of the Presidium of the Komi Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences .

Since 1971, a researcher at the Institute of Geology of the Komi Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences, candidate of geological and mineralogical sciences (1974) [3] .

In 1980 she retired.

She died on August 24, 1999 in Syktyvkar, and was buried there [4] .

Husband (since 1941) - Fishman, Mark Veniaminovich (1919-2003) - geologist [5] .

  • 1946 - Medal "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945."
  • 1964 - Honored Worker of Science and Culture of the Komi ASSR
  • 1970 - Medal "In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin"
  • Certificates of honor: Komi Regional Committee of the CPSU (1964), Komi Regional Committee of the Komsomol (1969), Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Komi ASSR (1969), Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1974) [6] .
