Acharya Sri Vidyasagrji Maharaj ( Hindi आचार्य विद्यासागर ; born October 10, 1946 ) is one of the most famous modern Digambaras - Jain Acharyas (philosopher and monk). He is known for his scholarship and tapasya (asceticism), including long hours in meditation. Although he was born in Karnataka and adopted diksha in Rajasthan , he, as a rule, spends most of his time in the Bundelkhand region, where he is credited with the revival of educational and religious activities [2] .

Biography
In childhood, his name was Vidyadhar [3] . He was the second of four sons, the eldest of whom was Mahavir Ashtag [4] . As a child he liked to eat fresh butter, from which ghee (clarified butter) was made [5] . He was not a demanding child and accepted what he was given [6] . Vidyadhar attended temples and taught his younger brothers and sisters the principles of religion [7] . He called both younger sisters Akka (elder sister). He was attentive and obedient to study. In his free time, he also painted [8] .
