Grigory Semenovich Karaush ( January 27, 1913 - December 31, 1991 ) - the leader of Soviet agriculture , brigadier of the Druzhba Narodov state farm, Belyaevsky district, Odessa region , Hero of Socialist Labor (1966).

Biography
Born in 1913 in the village Yaski in the Odessa province. Father died during the First World War.
In 1928 he graduated from junior high school and went to work to feed his mother and siblings. In 1930 he entered the agricultural artel named after Frunze.
From 1935 to 1938 he served in the ranks of the Red Army in the Far East. After returning home he got a job as an accountant on the collective farm.
Member of the Great Patriotic War. In June 1941 he was drafted into the Army. He fought in the aviation workshops of the 5th Air Army. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star.
In January 1946 he was demobilized and returned to his native village. He was elected deputy chairman of the Frunze collective farm and secretary of the party organization of the collective farm. In 1956-1960 the chairman of the village council of the village Yaski.
In 1960, at his own request, he moved to work as a brigadier in the vegetable-growing brigade of the 3rd division of the "Friendship of Peoples" state farm. The team under his leadership grew vegetables on an area of 700 hectares and received 250-300 centners of vegetables per hectare at the lowest cost in the economy.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 30, 1966, Grigory Semyonovich Karaush was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor for outstanding production achievements with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Sickle and Hammer medal.
He continued to work at the farm until entering the well-deserved rest.
He lived in his native village Yaski. He died on December 31, 1991. Buried in a rural cemetery.
