Dmitry Nikolaevich Bogoslavsky (born August 15, 1985 , Minsk , Belorussian SSR , USSR ) is a Belarusian playwright , director , actor [1] [2] .

Biography

Born on August 15, 1985 in Minsk. Until 2002, he lived in Elista , Republic of Kalmykia .

In 2005 he graduated from the Minsk State College of Arts in the direction of “Directing mass rites and holidays, organizing cultural and leisure activities”. In 2010 he graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Arts in the direction of Drama Theater / Stage Directing [3] [4] .

Since 2008, Bogoslavsky has been an artist of the Belarusian State Youth Theater . The theatrical works of Bogoslavsky were repeatedly noted with diplomas and thanks. In 2015, for the role of Treplev in the play “Chekhov. Comedy. Seagull "Bogoslavsky received a diploma of the II Youth Theater Forum of the Commonwealth , Baltic and Georgia countries" For versatile theatrical giftedness " [5] .

The debut play "The Pawn" was staged at the Center for Belarusian Drama and Directing in 2008 [6] .

In subsequent years, Bogoslavsky’s plays fell into long and short lists, and also became winners of such drama contests as: Premiere.kht, Eurasia, Actors, First Reading (Volodinsky Festival), LitoDrama, Remarque, VI Festival of National Drama named after IN AND. Dunin-Martsinkevich, competition-festival of contemporary Belarusian dramatic art "WriteBox", festival of young dramatic art Lyubimovka, competition of professional dramatists "Old Horse" [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] .

In 2012-2013 the plays “People’s Love” and “The Quiet Rustle of Leaving Steps” won the Internet contest Competition as part of the New Play project of the Golden Mask All-Russian Theater Festival [14] .

The play "External Side" became the laureate of the independent literary prize "Debut 2013" in the nomination Dramaturgy. [15]

As a director, Dmitry Bogoslavsky made his debut at the Theater Studio. E. Mirovich with the diploma performance “Russia Zhivago” by M. Bartenev’s libretto, to the music of A. Zhurbin “ Doctor Zhivago ” in 2009 [16] . The performances of Bogoslavsky repeatedly participated in international theater festivals and forums. The play “Sasha, Take Out the Trash” based on the play by N. Vorozhbit, staged by Bogoslavsky at the Belarusian State Youth Theater, became the nominee for the National Theater Prize of the Republic of Belarus in 2016 [17] . In 2018, the nominee for this award was also the performance of Bogoslavsky - "The Man from Podolsk" based on the play by D. Danilov [18] [19] .

Dmitry Bogoslavsky is one of the organizers of the Alternative Drama Studio (CAD - a community of young Belarusian playwrights) [20] . Lives and works in Minsk.
