Club career

Omar began his career at the Express Club, which included became the champion of Uganda. Then he played for Kampala City Coonsil , with whom he also twice won the championship.

On February 8, 2014, Salim made his debut in the KAF Champions League , having a meeting with Al-Merreich without goals conceded [1] .

Four months later, the goalkeeper moved to Al-Merreich, with whom in 2015 Jamal became the champion and winner of the Sudan Cup, and also reached the semifinals of the KAF Champions League , where in the two-match confrontation he lost to the Congolese TP Masembe [2] [3] . On October 23, 2018, Jamal signed a contract with another Sudanese club, Al-Hilal .

Team Career

On July 10, 2012, the goalkeeper made his debut with the Uganda team in a friendly match with the South Sudan national team [4] .

On January 4, 2017, Salim was included in the final application for participation in the African Cup of Nations 2017 [5] . At the tournament in Gabon, Jamal did not take part in any of the matches of his team, which took off after the group stage.
