Diplomatic relations
The non-resident Azerbaijani embassy for Denmark is located in London , UK . [2] Denmark has a consulate in Baku . [3] Denmark recognized the independence of Azerbaijan on December 31, 1991. On April 2, 1992, diplomatic relations were established between the two countries. [four]
Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Denmark is Fakhraddin Gurbanov. [5] The representative of Denmark in Azerbaijan is Svend Olling. [6]
Denmark and Azerbaijan are also members of the OSCE and the Council of Europe. [7] [8]
Economic Cooperation
In 2008, the Danish company Carlsberg acquired one of the largest breweries in Azerbaijan, in the territory of the village of Khirdalan. Currently, 60% of the beer market in Azerbaijan is made up of the products of Carlsberg Azerbaijan.
