Biography
Born in the family of the Zemstvo doctor Efim Matveevich (Haim Mordukhovich) Granat and his wife, dentist Hai Benjaminovna Vainberg . In 1923 he graduated from the medical faculty of the 1st Moscow Medical Institute . He was left as a resident, then an assistant at the Children's Diseases Clinic of the 1st Moscow State University . Since the beginning of 1935, an assistant to the children's clinic at the Ivanovo Medical Institute . For some time he headed the Department of Pediatrics at Tomsk State Institute for Advanced Medical Studies [1] . In 1936–49 - head of the department of childhood diseases (in 1936–38 - deputy director) of the Far Eastern Medical Institute . Later, he was the head of the department of pediatrics and professor at the Novosibirsk Institute for Advanced Medical Studies (1949-1952) and the head of the department of childhood diseases at the Chelyabinsk Medical Institute (1956-1959).
