The peninsula (originally an island) of Menshikov - a peninsula in the northeastern part of Sovetskaya Gavan Bay at the entrance to the bay, ends with Menshikov Cape . The jumper with the mainland is artificial. Named after the cape, named in 1854 as lieutenant N.K. Boshniak in honor of the barque “Prince Menshikov” , who visited the gulf this spring and assisted members of the expedition of Lieutenant N.K. Bosnia.
