Dunayskaya street ( Serb. Dunavska street / Dunavska ulica ) is a pedestrian street in Novi Sad . One of the most famous and important streets of the Old Town.

It runs from Jovana Zmaya street to Belgrade Kei street, behind which is the Danube , in honor of which the street got its name.
History
One of the oldest streets of Novi Sad, connecting Jovana Zmaya Street and the banks of the Danube, arose at the beginning of the 18th century . The street acquired its present form thanks to restoration work in the middle of the 9th century, after the destruction that affected the street during the 1848 revolution in Vojvodina .
Currently, the pedestrian (main) part of the street is occupied by passages, restaurants, cafes, shops (located in two-three-story buildings) located close to each other. On the right side of the entire Danube street is the .
Noteworthy buildings and structures
- House 1 - City Library ( Serbian. Gradska Library )
- House 2 - House “At the White Lion”, the oldest building in Novi Sad, built in the first decades of the XVIII century. One of the few buildings that was not destroyed during the Revolution.
