The 1st edition of the Yorkshire Tour - a multi-day highway racing on the roads of the British county of Yorkshire . The race was held from May 1 to May 3, 2015 as part of the UCI 2015 European Tour. The victory was won by the Norwegian cyclist Lars Peter Nordhaug from Team Sky [1] .

There were 18 teams participating in the race: 5 teams of the UCI WorldTeam category, 6 procontinental and 6 continental teams, as well as the UK team . [2] In total, 139 riders came out at the start of the competition. 123 athletes reached the finish line.

Route

On December 22, 2014, the start and finish points of the stages, which were Bridlington , Leeds , Scarborough , Selby , Wakefield and York , were announced. [3] [4] On January 21, 2015, the details of all three stages were announced at the Bridlington Spa. [5] [6] The first two stages (especially the second) were to be approached by the sprinters, and the third was presented as a β€œroyal stage” and included several roads and climbs that were part of the second stage of the 2014 Tour de France between York and Sheffield . [7] The race received category 2.1 . [8] The total distance was 515 kilometers.
