Kaneshichi Masuda ( Japanese 增田 甲子 七 Kaneshichi Masuda , October 4, 1898 , Sakakita, Nagano Prefecture , Japan Empire - December 21, 1985 ) - Japanese statesman, chief secretary of the cabinet (1949-1950), Director of the Office of National Defense of Japan (1966-1968).

Biography
In 1919 he graduated from Waseda University , in 1922 - the British Imperial College of Law at Kyoto Imperial University.
He began his career in the apparatus of the Ministry of the Interior.
In 1945-1946 - Governor of Fukushima , in 1946-1947. - Chief Commissioner of Hokkaido .
In 1947-1979 - Deputy of the House of Representatives from the Liberal Party, then from the LDP .
In the postwar years, was repeatedly included in the government of the country:
- 1946-1947 - Minister of Transport
- 1948-1949 - Minister of Labor
- 1949-1950 - Secretary General of the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan,
- 1950-1951 - Secretary of the Hokkaido Development Agency,
- 1966-1968 - Director of the National Defense Department of Japan.
Secretary of the Liberal Democratic Party (1951-1952). He also served as president of the Department of Political Studies of the Liberal Party of Japan.
Tragically died in his own house during a fire.
