The village is located in the southwestern part of the Lipetsk region, in the forest-steppe zone, within the Central Russian Upland , on the banks of the Golaya Snova River , at a distance of about 24 kilometers (in a straight line) east-southeast (ESE) from the village of Terbuny , the administrative center of the district . The absolute height is 167 meters above sea ​​level [2] .

The climate is temperate continental with warm summers and moderately frosty winters. Annual precipitation is 450-500 mm. The average temperature in January is −9.5 °, in July - + 19.5 ° [3] .
