Education

Biography

Born into a wealthy landowner family. In 1891 he graduated from the school for officials in Istanbul . He held a number of positions in the local administrations of the Ottoman Empire , then - the principality of Albania . Under Prince Wilhelm Vida was governor of Shkoder .

During the First World War, he collaborated with the Austro-Hungarian occupation administration, dealing with civil administration issues in northern Albania.

Member and chairman of the conference of Albanian political leaders, held in December 1918 in Durres .

F. Alizothi served as Minister of Finance of Albania in 1918-1920 and during the Italian occupation in 1939-1940. Economist.

After Ahmet Zog seized power in Albania, Alizotti became one of the most influential figures in the country's political life. Since 1926, he sat in parliament. Active participant in the Italian-Albanian negotiations, in which he held the pro-Italian position.

In July 1941, he was appointed High Commissioner for the Reunited Lands (Kosovo and Dibra). In May 1943, he headed the pro-Italian Quasi-Parliament - the Supreme Fascist Corporate Council.

In November 1944, he was arrested by the communist authorities on charges of active collaboration with the occupiers. After several months of a political process, the Special Court sentenced Alizotti to death with confiscation of property. On April 14, 1945, he was shot in a suburb of Tirana.
