Career
Tim Anderson was born on June 23, 1993 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. There he graduated from Hillcrest High School. During his studies, in addition to baseball, Tim played basketball, and won the state championship as part of the school team. After school, he enrolled at East Central Community College in Decatur and focused on baseball. Anderson spent two seasons on the East Central Warriors student team. In the second year, his hit rate was 49.5%, he also knocked out 18 doubles, 11 triples, 10 home runs , stole 41 bases and scored 45 RBI. After a successful performance, in the 2013 Major League Baseball draft pick, Tim was selected by the Chicago White Sox club in the first round under a common seventeenth number [1] .
Anderson began the season of 2014 as part of the Winston-Salem Dash club, and at the end of the championship he was briefly transferred to the AA League at Birmingham Barons . Tim missed a significant part of the matches due to a fracture of his right wrist. His progress continued with Barons in 2015, when he reduced the number of strikeouts he received and also stole the base 49 times in 62 attempts [2] .
Anderson made his debut for the White Sox in the Major League Baseball in the 2016 season. He spent 99 games in the regular season, beating off with an indicator of 28.3%. In March 2017, the club signed a new contract with Tim for six years, the amount of the agreement was $ 25 million [3] . The second season at the highest level was uneven for him. Anderson knocked out 17 home runs and scored 56 RBI, but also made 28 mistakes when playing on defense - the worst result in the league in his position. Tim also received 162 strikeouts with just 13 walks. As a possible reason, the Chicago Tribune called the psychological problems associated with the murder of his friend and godfather of his daughter Branden Moss [4] [5] .
In 2018, Tim became the first shortstop in the White Sox history to knock out twenty home runs and steal the base twenty times in one season. He also managed to reduce the number of errors committed in defense [6] [7] . In March and April 2019, Anderson beat off in twenty-two games with a score of 38.1%, with six home runs and seventeen RBI. By the end of the month he was recognized as the best player in the American League [8] .
