Biography
Born in 1901 in the village of Baim, now the Mariinsky district of the Kemerovo region.
Received primary education. In 1930, she moved with her family to the village of Razdolnoye, Mariinsky District. Here she joined the collective farm and found a job working in the field crop brigade. For more than 30 years, she worked first as a simple collective farmer, and then as a link worker. Her link sought high yields of potatoes. In 1948, in a small area of 3 hectares, 583 centners from one hectare were harvested [1] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 16, 1949, for outstanding production achievements, Ekaterina Danilovna Pomortseva was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle Medal.
Since 1950, the link in the collective farm named after M.I. Kalinin of the Mariinsky district. In the same year she joined the Communist Party.
Member of the Supreme Council of the USSR of the 5th convocation (1958-1962). She was elected a deputy of the district council, a member of the Mariinsky city committee and the Kemerovo regional committee of the CPSU.
Raised 13 children.
She worked on a collective farm before going on a well-deserved rest.
She lived in the village of Razdolnoye. She died on April 28, 1983. Buried in a rural cemetery.
