History
Alasyuti Sport was founded in 2008 and was based in the city of Asyut . In June 2014, the team entered the Premier League for the first time in its history after successfully playing in the playoffs of the Second Division [2] .
In the debut season in the Premier League, Alasayuti Sport played the role of a hopeless outsider, gaining only two victories in 38 matches and taking the penultimate place in the relegation zone. In 2016, the team won their group in the Second Division, but lost in the playoffs to Al-Nasr Lel Taaden from Idfu in the penalty shootout after two matches ending with the same score 1: 1. A year later, Alasyuti Sport won by a large margin in Group A of the Second Division, which guaranteed him a return to the Premier League. Under the leadership of the Egyptian coach Ali Maher, he took ninth place in the championship 2017/2018 .
In the summer of 2018, the club was headed by the chairman of the Sports Department of Saudi Arabia, Turks al-Sheikh . The name of the team was changed from Alasayuti Sport to FC Pyramids, and the money that Turki al-Sheikh invested in the club went to its significant strengthening [3] . On June 28, 2018, the former coach of Cairo Al-Ahli , Hossam al-Badri, was appointed president of the club, Ahmad Hassan - press secretary and head of the football team, Hadi Khashaba - football director, and former coach of Brazilian “ Botafogo ” Alberto Valentin - head coach The Pyramids [4] .
