Story
Peter LaFleur ( Won ) is the unsuccessful owner of the Average Joe's gym, with only a few members. Members ("Pirate" Steve, Justin, Gordon) and workers (Dwight and Owen) are loyal to the gym and its owner. Peter finds out that White Goodman ( Stiller ), the owner of the famous Globo-Gym, bought up the debts of Average Joe's. Goodman publicly states that he once suffered from obesity, but, thanks to his miraculous gym, he became as healthy as ever, having lost excess weight. Peter must find $ 50,000 in 30 days to prevent White from taking over his gym, who wants to build an additional garage in his place for members of his gym. The bank sends lawyer Catherine ( Taylor ), whom Goodman unsuccessfully tries to look after.
Average Joe's members are trying to come up with ways to earn the right amount on time, including car washing. Nothing comes out, but then Gordon discovers in his favorite magazine an advertisement about the top prize in the bouncer championship in Las Vegas - $ 50,000. But the cunning White manages to install a spy camera in their gym, and he learns about Peter’s plans.
Peter and other members of the gym initially compete with Girl Scouts in a regional match, but they are quickly defeated due to lack of experience. But before the judge calls the winner, one of the girls has a positive test for steroids , and Girl Scouts are disqualified.
After the match, the team celebrates a “victory”, but White interrupts them with his own team bouncer. Later, the legendary bouncer player Patches O'Hooligan ( Thorne ) meets with Peter and offers to become a team coach. Using non-standard and painful methods, Patches tries to turn these “slobs” into a real team. Katherine watches the training, and then shows her own talents in the game, after which the team tries to convince her to join them. She refuses, as she works for White, and this will be a "conflict of interest." Then, White visits her house and reveals that he fired her so that he can take care of her. She refuses just at the approach of Peter. Katherine hits White on the nose, and he leaves in a rage. Peter again tries to convince Katherine to help them. This time she agrees.
In Las Vegas, the team was supposed to get new uniforms, but orders were sent to the wrong place, and they had to wear leather suits of sadomasochists. Because of Katherine, they manage to defeat the German team. The Purple Cobras, White's team, easily defeats their opponents. In the semifinals, all team members were knocked out, except for Gordon, who generally plays poorly. But he sets foot on the "warpath" when he sees his wife flirting with another man and kicks out all the members of another team. In the final, Average Joe's will have to fight with Globo-Gym.
But the night before the match, Patches accidentally kills a huge sign that fell from the ceiling. Without a coach, the team spirit is undermined. White comes to Peter's room, offering him $ 100,000 in return for the gym and refusal of the match. Peter leaves the hotel, bumping into Steve's Pirate. Grabbing Steve by the scrubs, he says “you're not a pirate,” putting Steve into a depression. In the meantime, Owen slept with Fran, a member of the Purple Cobra team, whom he fell in love with at first sight.
On the day of the match, a cheerleader (member of a support group) from Justin's school asks him to help them in the cheerleader competition, as one of the team members turned out to be a fracture. No one can find either Steve or Peter. Since the championship requires a certain number of players, they are afraid that they will be forced to automatically surrender. Peter spent the night at the bar, feeling nasty. Suddenly, Lance Armstrong , the cycling champion, appears next to him and motivates Peter to return to play. Peter returns just in time.
But since the Chancellor of the Championship ( William Shetner ) has already announced the surrender of “Average Joe's”, the answer is up to three judges. The first two vote differently. The third referee, Chuck Norris , votes yes, allowing the team to compete. During the final match, all players except Justin are knocked out, but he manages to catch the ball and return Katherine to the game, which immediately catches the ball, returning Peter to the game. But Justin himself is then knocked out by White (during a confession of love to a classmate). Peter stumbles, becoming the Cobra's main target, but Katherine jumps in front of the ball. While she sits on the bench, White deliberately throws the ball into her face, receiving a warning and, in the erased scene, 10 seconds in the “Triangle of Shame”. Then Peter manages to knock out one of the members of the other team, but he receives the ball from White. Fortunately, throwing the ball, White crosses the middle line, which leads to a “knockout game" between Peter and White. Before the cast, Peter blindfolds the bandana received earlier from Patches. Feeling the spirit of Patches, Peter manages to predict the flight of the ball of White and dodge in the style of Neo . Peter’s return ball, still blindly, hits exactly into White’s face, making Average Joe's the winner of the championship.
After the team’s initial joy, White reveals that Peter really sold him his gym the day before, so he won anyway. Peter, in response, claims that he put the money received from White on the victory of his team (50 to 1), that is, he now has $ 5,000,000 to buy out the gym. White protests, saying he will not sell the gym back. Peter says that he will simply invest in a controlling stake in Globo-Gym, that is, buying up everything that belongs to White, including his old gym. Since Globo-Gym is a public company, White cannot do anything about it, and Peter fires him. Steve appears, changing the hairstyle to normal and dressing in normal clothes. Peter again convinces him that he is still a pirate, showing him a "treasure chest." Eventually, Average Joe's becomes a popular gym, and White sits at the TV, again bold, scolding Peter and Chuck Norris, muttering that he is the winner of the championship.
