Rob Emerson was born July 30, 1981 in Newport Beach , California .
Start of a professional career
He made his debut in mixed martial arts at the professional level in June 2002 - in the first fight he met with former UFC champion Jens Pulver and gave him a unanimous decision.

In the third episode, he lost by surrender to the future winner of the show, Nate Diaz , but later the management was returned to the list of participants after another member Gabe Rüdiger dropped out ahead of schedule due to weight problems. Replacing Rüdiger, Emerson subsequently entered the cage against Corey Hill and yielded to him by unanimous judicial decision.

At the beginning of the second round, as a result of a throw by Maynard, both fighters were knocked out, and the bout was declared invalid [2] .
Continuing to perform in the UFC, Emerson later took over the well-known fighters like Keith Nakamura , Manvel Gamburyan and Phillip Nover , but lost to Kurt Pellegrino , Rafael dos Anjus and Nick Lents . After being defeated by Lenz in 2010, he left the promotion and then spoke at less prestigious organizations [3] [4] [5] .
