Hamburgas Street ( Latvian. Hamburgas iela ) is a street in the Northern district of Riga , in Mezaparks . It runs, changing direction several times, from Kokneses Avenue to Ezermalas Street . The total length of the street is 1086 meters [1] .

All over covered with asphalt. Movement along the street is two-way. Public transport on the street does not run, but on Kokneses Avenue there is a tram stop “Hamburgas iela” [2] .
Content
History
The street was laid in 1900 under its present name ( Rus. Hamburg Street , German Hamburger Straße ) - in honor of the city of Hamburg (like many other streets in this district, it bears the name of one of the cities of the Hanseatic League ) [3] .
From 1915 to 1917, it was temporarily renamed Ladoga Street ( Latvian. Ladogas iela ), then the original name was returned and no longer changed [4] .
